About This Guide

A Study Plan That Fits Your Actual Week

A long study list can make you feel busy while leaving the hardest decision untouched: what can you realistically do next? This student study planner turns that list into a working plan you can inspect. Put available hours beside planned and completed study, then use the difference to rethink an overloaded week. Start with your own subjects and priorities, rather than trying to fit every task into an ideal timetable.

See the Time Trade-Off Before Adding More

The Weekly Plan shows spare capacity and completion for each entered week or subject. A negative spare-hours result makes an overcommitted allocation visible; it is a reason to change the plan, not squeeze another task into it. Recording completed hours gives you something concrete to discuss at review time. Keep the same pool of available hours from being counted twice across subjects or overlapping periods.

Give Important Topics a Next Visit

The Revision register connects a topic with its last review and a gap you choose. It calculates the next date and compares it with your manually entered review date. Use the result to decide what deserves attention today, then change the interval when your needs change. Confidence can sit alongside the record as context. The planner organises your choices; it does not choose an optimal interval or send reminders.

Read Mock Scores With Their Denominators

A score means more when you retain the possible marks. The Mock Tests sheet keeps earned and possible marks together and calculates the overall weighted percentage from their totals. A short test and a longer paper therefore contribute according to their marks, rather than receiving equal weight by accident. Record the error pattern and next practice beside the result, keeping the purpose of the test close to its number.

Turn Reflection Into a Specific Adjustment

The fillable worksheet brings the week’s goal, available blocks, priority topics, practice evidence, mistakes and next revision dates into a compact review. Finish by naming an end-of-week adjustment you can actually make. Use the HTML version when you prefer editing the same prompts as a document. These tools give your planning conversation a useful structure, whether you work independently or discuss the plan with someone supporting you.

Keep a Routine You Can Revisit

Save a clean master, replace the fictional examples and begin with a manageable scope. Input checks flag incomplete calculation rows before you read the headline results. Revisit the plan after real study sessions, use the supplied guides when setting it up and keep your own course materials alongside it. Build a clearer planning habit around your preparation, without treating logged hours or percentages as a prediction of grades.

What You Will Receive

Your download includes an editable Excel workbook with Weekly Plan, Revision and Mock Tests, A4 and US Letter setup guides and fillable planning worksheets, an editable HTML version of the planning prompts and a customer start note. The paper-size versions repeat the same content. No native Google Sheet, AI prompt pack, question bank, app or physical product is included.

What’s Inside

Weekly Capacity and Completion

Enter the week or subject, available hours, planned hours and completed hours. Spare capacity subtracts planned time from available time, while completion compares completed with planned hours. Negative capacity remains visible and zero planned hours gives n.a. Use the information to move, reduce or divide work. The headline includes all prepared rows, so keep overlapping allocations and duplicated available time out of your scope.

A Revision Register You Control

Record the topic, subject, last-reviewed date, chosen gap and confidence context. The next revision date adds the gap to the last review; Due or Planned compares it with the review date you set. Change that review date deliberately as you use the workbook. Confidence does not alter the calculation. There is no adaptive scheduling algorithm, calendar sync, notification or automatic syllabus import.

Mock-Test Records With a Next Action

Keep a test label, date, earned marks, possible marks, time used, error pattern and next practice together. The weighted headline divides total earned marks by total possible marks across prepared rows. An incomplete required score waits for correction, and a genuine zero remains a valid result. Enter your own tests; no question bank, examination papers or exam-specific marking scheme is included.

Fillable Planning and Review Worksheets

Choose A4 or US Letter and complete the same prompts for the week’s goal, available blocks, priorities, evidence, mistakes, revision dates and adjustment. Save a copy and reopen it to check your entries. Fields store text without calculating totals. Use the worksheet before planning to decide priorities, or after a study week to explain what you want to do differently.

An Editable Document Version

The HTML companion repeats the planning and review prompts in an editable document structure. Replace its placeholders with your information in an HTML-capable editor. The guides explain the workbook’s fictional examples, input and formula columns, working routine and licence. Paper-size versions repeat the same content; choose the one that suits your paper and viewer rather than treating them as additional activities.

Prepared Ranges and Input Checks

Each workbook table has prepared rows 8–107. Keep formula columns intact and extend ranges deliberately if needed. Required hours, dates, gaps and score inputs are checked before relevant totals display. Context such as subject, confidence and error notes still needs your judgement. No native Google Sheet, AI prompt pack or app is supplied; the toolkit records preparation rather than predicting learning outcomes.

Who It’s For

  • School Students Planning Their Own Revision — You have several subjects competing for the same week. Compare available and planned hours, record a next review and turn an overloaded list into a smaller, clearer set of study decisions.
  • College and University Students — You organise independent preparation around classes and other commitments. Use the capacity and revision records to keep your own priorities visible, then review what actually happened before changing the next plan.
  • Competitive-Exam Candidates — You take practice tests with different possible marks and want a clearer record of progress. Use the weighted score and error-pattern notes to choose targeted practice, alongside the official syllabus and your own materials.
  • Parents Supporting Student Independence — You want a useful conversation about preparation without judging effort from a timetable alone. Discuss recorded hours, priority topics and the weekly reflection with the student, keeping ownership of the plan with them.
  • Tutors and Study-Skills Mentors — You help a purchaser organise study and identify a practical next step. Use their completed planning records to discuss capacity, repeated mistakes and review choices within the internal-use licence, without presenting scores as predicted grades.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the study planner toolkit?

An editable Excel workbook with Weekly Plan, Revision and Mock Tests, A4 and US Letter guides and fillable planning worksheets, editable HTML planning prompts and a customer start note. The paper-size versions contain the same material.

Does it include subjects, a syllabus or mock-test papers?

No. Enter your own subjects, priorities, materials and test results. The toolkit organises preparation and recorded scores; it does not supply a question bank, course, coaching, examination papers or exam-specific marking rules.

How do available hours and completion work?

Spare capacity equals available minus planned hours; a negative result shows overcommitment. Completion equals completed divided by planned hours and may exceed 100%. Zero planned hours gives n.a. Use one consistent scope and do not allocate the same available hours repeatedly across subjects.

Will the revision planner choose the best study interval?

No. You choose the gap and set a manual review date. Next revision equals last reviewed plus the gap; Due means on or before the review date. Confidence is context and does not change the schedule. No calendar sync or reminders are supplied.

How are mock-test scores combined?

The headline divides total marks earned by total marks possible across prepared rows, rather than averaging row percentages. Enter a test label, numeric earned marks from zero to the possible total, and positive possible marks. Fractional marks are allowed. Repeated attempts also contribute unless removed.

What happens with missing inputs, and how many rows are prepared?

Each table uses rows 8–107. Incomplete or invalid required calculation inputs show Check inputs and the relevant headline waits. Empty rows wait. Weekly/date totals include all prepared rows without a date filter. Deliberately extend formulas and validation for a larger range.

Can I edit the PDFs, and is Google Sheets included?

The worksheet PDFs contain fillable text fields; save and reopen a completed copy to check entries. They do not calculate. Edit HTML in a compatible editor and use spreadsheet software for XLSX. No native Google Sheet or AI pack is included. Native Excel/Sheets compatibility, printing and local HTML browser behaviour remain unverified.

Who can use the files, and does the planner predict grades?

The internal-use licence covers one purchaser, household or business as appropriate; your completed reports/documents may be shared, while source templates may not be resold or redistributed. The planner records your study choices and results. It does not predict grades, rank or a learning outcome.
